In 2008, the Yesenin Museum of Moscow, in cooperation with the Russian Federation Consulate in Kerala, India, established the annual Sergei Yesenin Award. The award is given to Indian citizens for their contribution to the dissemination and popularization of Russian literature.

2019 — Dr. Megha Pansare.
The next Award ceremony will take place in December 2020 in Trivanantapuram (India).
